Growing up in Metro Detroit, Andrew always dreamt of moving to the mountains. After attending Michigan State University where he received his BA in Economics, he became a financial advisor working at Morgan Stanley and Waddell and Reed. In 2014 he moved to Colorado and his love of beer attracted him to HOPS. As a Cicerone Certified Beer Server, he takes great pride in creating HOPS' extremely diverse and gem-filled beer list.
When not educating the team on the world’s best beers, you can find him hiking with his dog, SUPing down the rivers, or snowboarding.
JOE STEMPINSKIExecutive Chef
Growing up, Joe watched in wonder as his grandmothers cooked their regional cuisines for family and friends. Little did he know how their love for food would shape his own career path. After cooking throughout high school and while earning his BA in English literature at Saint Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota, Joe realized that being in the kitchen was where he found happiness. He attended Le Cordon Bleu in Minnesota, then learned and honed his craft throughout the Midwest before moving to Colorado in 2013 to work at the St. Regis Aspen.
Seasonal simplicity, sustainable foods, and sharing the comfort of an honest, well-made meal inspire Joe and his menus. When not cooking, you can find him hiking, hunting, or in his Woody Creek garden.
